Pantheon in Rome

breathtaking, built in 27 B.C. by Marcus Agrippa, son-in-law of Emperor Augustus. The Pantheon houses the graves of some great Romans and of painter Raphael. The inscription in his marble sarcophagus reads: 'Here lies that famous Raphael by whom Nature feared to be conquered while he lived, and when he was dying, feared herself to die.'
